GRAM Summer Art Camps provide children 4-12 the opportunity to experience creativity and innovation in a unique and transformative setting. Campers take part in observation and discussions in the museum’s galleries, discovery and hands-on activities in the studio, and learn collaborative problem solving processes through communication and creation.

Artful Discoveries & Adventures
June 16-20, ages 4-6 (grades K-1) SOLD OUT!
June 23-27, ages 7-9 (grades 2-4)
Creating place through time and space. A camp that highlights culture, history, storytelling, and the artistic process seen throughout the centuries. Campers will journey through the Museum’s galleries while gaining a variety of creative skills with introductions to printmaking, painting, and sculpture in GRAMStudio.
Modern in Motion
July 14-18, ages 4-6 (grades K-1)
July 21-25, ages 7-9 (grades 2-4)
Celebrate the beauty of movement & design with modern and quirky art-making methods. This camp offers a week of hands on activities inspired by influential images, structures, and shapes present in Michigan Modern. Campers will take part in the planning, ideation, and construction phases of creative and innovative design practices.

July 28- August 1, ages 6-12 (grades 1-6) SOLD OUT!
Have a social butterfly on your hands? Siblings, best friends, or cousins that cannot separate? Movers. Shakers. Collaborators. is the perfect match your young ones. This camp encourages children to communicate ideas and creativity through collaborative play and hands-on activities. Campers will learn to solve problems with visual and verbal innovation strategies while producing artifacts individually, with a partner, or in groups.
