2nd grade, 3rd grade and Lower Montessori students are learning how to create realistic art by drawing from observation. Students went out on the playground as a class during art time and chose a tree to draw. They used their new knowledge of drawing the "V" when creating branches. Students also used created texture with drawing pencils to resemble the bark on the tree and intricately added leaves to each branch.

Mrs. hallI am the art teacher and creative coach at Lakewood and Waukazoo Elementary Schools, part of West Ottawa Public Schools. I received my Bachelor and Master of Art Education at Kendall College of Art & Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I'm very proud to say that I am an art teacher and truly enjoy exploring the fine arts with my students. I am also a fine artist with a focus in printmaking. It is my joy of teaching that inspires me to be a better artist; the joy of creating my own art work that makes me a better teacher. I am very thankful to have a career in something that I am passionate about and love. Archives
