SPRING BREAK CAMP: TRASH-N-TREASURE * Ages 7-12
During Spring Break Camps your kids create, cook, and learn. This spring, we'll take a bus trip into the mystery zone of Padnos Recycling to get inspired to make recycled costumes, hats, or masks! Later in the week we get the dirt on composting and start some greens-a-growing. 4 afternoons * Tuesday - Friday * April 8-11* 1-4pm * $100 ($80) * each additional sibling $55 REGISTER SPRING BREAK CAMP: PRESSED FOR TIME * Ages 12-18 During Spring Break Camps your kids create, cook, and learn. This spring, the older kids will explore the processes of printmaking and storytelling through visual media. From self-portraits (selfies!) with pin-hole cameras to the creation of UV processed sepia-toned photos from digital prints, students will go forward and back in history. Art students will also build their own flower presses and found-object journals for taking out into the world. Because students will be going on walking field trips, they are encouraged to eat lunch prior to class, dress for the weather, and pack a water bottle. 4 afternoons * Tuesday - Friday * April 8-11 * 12-3:30pm * $80 ($64) * each additional sibling $45 REGISTER A reminder to all students with art work in the Holland Area Arts Council WO Art Show, the artist reception is rescheduled for this Thursday night, March 6th from 6-7:30 PM. Mrs. HallI am the art teacher and creative coach at Lakewood and Waukazoo Elementary Schools, part of West Ottawa Public Schools. I received my Bachelor and Master of Art Education at Kendall College of Art & Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I'm very proud to say that I am an art teacher and truly enjoy exploring the fine arts with my students. I am also a fine artist with a focus in printmaking. It is my joy of teaching that inspires me to be a better artist; the joy of creating my own art work that makes me a better teacher. I am very thankful to have a career in something that I am passionate about and love. Archives
